Ten years ago a film named DDLJ was released which went on to be a superhit. This success led SRK to remain in the same mode for 10 years. 10 years later OSO was released and SRK & Party succeeded in pulling it off as a superhit. There is good news for people who loved OSO and who have Mr. SRK as their favorite actor. It seems that their favorite actor is going to continue in OSO mode for next 10 years. So cheers for them for having next 10 wonderful years.
An interesting part being that SRK chose to play a middle class ordinary man and he had Vinay Pathak at his side playing a not so ordinary man. I really wonder whether SRK was trying to compete with Mr. Pathak and he was actually taking his help in doing so. But neither SRK not Mr. Director found Mr. Pathak’s acting or character interesting enough to show him in the promo. It seems that the Marketing team didn’t realize that they would have succeeded to woo Mr. Pathak’s fans too for the movie and it would have helped Mr. SRK and party in claiming their success. But then it wouldn’t have been fair as Mr. Pathak has hardly a 15 min appearance. It was indeed pleasant to see Mr. Pathak in the kind of role.
One more thing which I would like to mention is that the new comer Anushka Sharma really looked good when she smiled. Congrats to Mr. Pathak. Sir you actually rocked for whatever time you showed up on the screen.
To tell you the fact the whole movie was so interesting that me and one of my friend had to spend around Rs. 300 on two double pegs of Romonov during the intermission. Later we realized that we should have spent at least Rs. 150 more on that. The other friend of mine who happens to be a huge fan of Mr. SRK was not talking for around One and a half hour after the movie. I guess he found his ‘rab’ in Mr. SRK.
In the end I could say only one sentence, “Mazaak-mazaak main Shahrukh Khan ne bahut fudak liya”.
